The Tea and Coffee Trade Journal for June 1928 (p. 854) prints the “Labels Registered” digest, recording two Hoffmann-Hayman Coffee Co. entries in the Week Ending May 1, 1928 batch: “Sam Houston Brand” (Reg. No. 33,914) and “Menger Finest Quality Peaberry Coffee Steel Cut” (Reg. No. 33,915), both for coffee. Unlike the trademark-pending mosaics, the labels listing is text-only — no drawings were published — so this crop captures the verbatim trade-press attestation of both brand names. The Menger entry is one of the few products H&H marketed under the Menger surname rather than a separate trade name.
