Mary Louise Peché — widow of H&H worker Manuel Peché and mother of David L. Peché and Albert Peché. At 101, she is the last first-person voice the project has reached from the H&H-worker generation. She joined the 13 June 2026 tour of 601 Delaware with her caretaker, Angelica.
She met Manuel in 1949 and married him in 1950, so she did not witness his H&H/bottle-washing years directly — but she carries the family memory of them and gave the digest’s one verbatim primary line about Manuel’s work: “I know that he came to unload the train.”
