Why it matters

San Antonio Uncovered is a popular SA history / travel reference that mixes neighborhood vignettes, landmark anecdotes, and place-by-place description of the city H and H Coffee operated in. It sits on the SA-context shelf alongside Saving San Antonio (Fisher, 1996), Downtown San Antonio (Korte & Pech, 2013), and Historic Photos of San Antonio (Faulkner, 2007), but the Rybczyk volume is lighter and more conversational — useful for surfacing offbeat or under-documented sites and oral-tradition leads rather than scholarly attribution.

For H and H research the book is lead-finding material: any mention of West Commerce, Delaware Street, the produce / coffee / spice trade district, the Hoffmann or Hayman families, or named coffee businesses would justify chasing the underlying source.
